Raised and educated in New York City, Dr. Bernstein’s journey into optometry was inspired by both science and empathy. With a father who was a chemist and a mother who was legally blind, Dr. Bernstein developed a passion for helping others see clearly and live confidently.
He is a proud graduate of the State University of New York College of Optometry and is certified to treat and manage ocular disease. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bernstein has served as president of the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce network connection, showing his commitment to community leadership. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys life with his wife — an artist — and their two children.
Dr. Benham’s passion for optometry began in Indiana, where her childhood optometrist became an early mentor. During her internship in his office, she was moved by the joy patients experienced when receiving their new glasses or contacts — a moment that shaped her future.
She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1988. Known for her warm and communicative style, Dr. Benham creates a comfortable space for patients to ask questions and take charge of their ocular health. She also mentors optometry and pre-optometry students, offering them hands-on experience in the field she loves.
Dr. Lee brings a strong foundation in both science and healthcare management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration from UC Irvine, and then completed her Doctor of Optometry at Western University College of Optometry.
Fluent in Mandarin, Dr. Lee has been a valued part of the B & B Optometry team since 2016. Her approach to eye care goes beyond just 20/20 vision — she performs thorough assessments of eye teaming, focusing, and ocular health. Outside the office, Dr. Lee loves spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Mathew is a graduate of UCLA and earned her doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry. She is known for her calm, patient-first demeanor and commitment to providing individualized and thorough care.
Her clinical approach centers on addressing each patient’s unique concerns and educating them on their eye health in a way that’s easy to understand. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Mathew enjoys traveling, cooking, and discovering new food spots.
